Access control device with multi-master technology*, can be connected to a concentrator (master) or to a PC via RS485 serial line with a maximum number of 255 terminals interconnected to the same line. The device is able to distinguish the rapid or protracted reading of a tag as different actions (action A and B), generating separate events for each case. The status of the terminal is highlighted by changing the light intensity and colour of the led, playing a specific ringtone and activating the relay and additional outputs.

* Multi-master terminals are designed as logically equivalent nodes: each node is identified by a unique address and can send a data packet at any time. Possible collisions were handled by implementing the CSMA/CD algorithm.
